when ever the timer hits 40 min and when ppl start making nukes, they start spamming nukes and it gets many people on the other team gets frustrated. when a nuke gets built, the games basically over. if you try to cap proto, you just get instantly killed by a nuke, and you basically will almost never get it back. the nuke spam also lets the people on their team with the nuke get the map back very quickly since it kills everybody that gets in the way. for example, you nuke a bunker, everybody dies, and its free to cap. someone spawns in it again? just nuke it again and continue to cap. this causes many people to complain and the nuke spam could also easily empty the server, which i have seen many times. i think that if friendly fire is turned on, then people will be less willing to nuke spam everywhere because they could also kill their teammates. with less nuke spam, less people will be getting mad and frustrated. with less spamming, it won't empty the server aswell. friendly fire also can be more fun and can give a more realistic feel of the game .
ATM we have two important things we do for our server.
1. Enforce our rules
2. Keep numbers up
Our wars server is currently ranked #2 only bested by our Mesa 24/7 server. People don't like rules and resrictions so they don't play if we have too
many. In my opinion the only annoying thing about anukespam can be related to engine fails like being killed in the blast sealed prototype factory bay by a TAC shell. I think we should put in the heavy singularity tank so we can end the game easier after stupid helos keep bombing the crap out of us.
Yes, if nuke spam actually starts emptying the server enough we will put a restriction temporarily to stop from losing people. Not usually the case though.
I consider our selves #1 because the other cheap server have modified dlls and can support more, so they can stay fuller for shorter amounts and still be ahead of us. Btw if you don't know, modifing dlls is agaisnt copyright law unless it's to fix a glicth that has gotten no support. Idk if crytek doesn't care or what... oh wells.
I think we should raise the price for a tac shell to at least 750. The problem with our nuke spamming is that the shells are so cheap! With that raised price people wouldn't be able to nukespam unless they have a TON on P (In which case, I think they deserve the right to spam).

That used to be the case... A bug was fixed and NSFU is now listed as a Crysis Wars server instead of Crysis, been like that for 3 months. Our wars server is being beaten by a 50-man server which disappoints me.
To make it easier to stop nuke spamming we could raise the price of a TAC tank to 1300p thus making it less affordable. I can stop 2 TAC tanks with one helo but not 2 and so can many other people.
1300 still seems a little cheap. its not that hard to make 1300 points. if your a general, then all you have to do is cap a war fact, proto, or air fact a few times, and then you have 1300 points. Around 1600 points would seem better. when people make nukes on our team, i sometimes see them have 1300 points, or even more than that. when ever timer hits 40min, we have like 3 or even 4 people that start to make nukes. before you know it, we have a bunch of nukes running around nuking everywhere. with the price of 1600 points for a tac, there will be far less nukes and people won't be buying them so easy.
It will cut down on nukespam a lot. it will also make the people who buy the nukes more wise on how to use them because they won't want to get there 1600p tac tank destroyed and they will be more willing to finish the game.
I like 1300P because you have to work for it more than just being a general and caping proto, but we don't want to make it harder to get a TAC than getting a vtol now do we. Remember pretty much everybody loves the TAC so if we make it so almost no one can get it then people will not play with us thus changing conflicting with statement #2.
but its not that hard to get 1300p. if you spawn and your a general you start out with 800p. all you have to do is cap a few places and you get 1300p . but if you change price to 1600p, there gonna have to earn it and not just cap places, like the proto, or war factory a few times.
